Greetings of the Season... Winter, 2010

collage of (clockwise from top left) Poinsettia, female cardinal, male cardinal, robins in Holly tree (all birds in snow storm)
Here's hoping everyone has a joyous holiday season ... whatever holiday you celebrate! This is my first experiment at creating a photo collage. (next experiment will be to figure out how to make "live links" to allow you, if you are so inclined, to click any one of the images in the collage to show a "full size" of it in a new window)

With thanks to Ginnie of In Soul for the hint to use Picnik to create photo collages. :-)

  2. I haven't figured out how to do one of those yet and think yours is great. I love the cardinal with its beak covered with snow. Merry Christmas to you and a happy new year!

  3. Thanks montucky and Kateri for the greetings...

Kateri, the collage creation was done with Picnik... I might be able to post instructions for doing this after the first of the year... but it does require (for this particular template) that you have a paid Picnik account.

  5. WOW, what a stunning photo of the cardinal bird! We don't have these beauties in the Netherlands. Great collage, you're doing very well with this!
    Greetings from Yvon
(with a second white Christmas in a row, never happened before since they're measuring weather conditions from 1901!)

  6. You're already a pro, which is the total fun of this, Victoria. I remember how ecstatic I was when I discovered Picnik (thanks to my sister). It totally changed my life. :)

  7. omigosh, Victoria, what a GREAT photo collage! cardinals are a fav subject of mine and my Mom's, and I'm LOVIN' this - TFS!

I'm so glad to report that we have a small tree just outside our kitchen window that we keep a bird feeder at; a cardinal family visits regularly.

thanx for passing along the Picnik tip, too!
