Vinca... tiny, perfect blossom! Spring, 2010...

vinca blossom
This ground cover spreads easily (too easily) once established and will eventually choke out other plants if left alone to continue its takeover! Every time I think about ripping it out completely, I remember what perfectly lovely blossoms appear in spring and relent.

  1. I struggled to get this to grow for years and finally when it decided to take off I no longer needed the cover it provided. I now spend my time pulling it up but like you I wouldn't want to remove it completely.

  2. I've never noticed the star in the center of a periwinkle blossom before, I will have to go out in the morning and see if mine have stars. :)
